About Me

Hi! I’m Wale Bello, a UI/UX designer with over two decades of experience working with Nigeria’s National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). My journey started in web design and graphic design, evolved into video editing, and now I focus on building meaningful, human-centered digital experiences through UI/UX.
Over the years at NHIA, I’ve been privileged to help shape digital strategies and design systems that positively impact millions. I bring a unique blend of technical skill, creative thinking, and institutional knowledge to every project.
My Approach to Design
- User-Centered: My design philosophy centers around empathy — understanding the needs of both the end-user and the healthcare system.
- Ethical & Responsible: Designing for health means designing carefully. I prioritize transparency, clarity, and trust in every experience I craft.
- Versatile Maker: Whether I’m creating prototypes, graphics, or video content, I lean on my broad background to pull ideas together in visually compelling and impactful ways.
Outside of Work
Outside of work, when I’m not designing, you’ll often find me on the tennis court, where a good rally helps reset my mind, or listening to music, whether discovering new tracks or revisiting old favorites. I also enjoy experimenting with AI video tools, blending creativity and technology to tell new stories.
Let’s Collaborate
I’m always open to connecting with people who care about designing better, more empathetic digital experiences — whether you’re interested in a project, role, or chat about design and innovation.
